Artisans begin with a log from a Jacaranda or Musave tree to craft this Nativity Hut. They use a machete to carve out the shape of the hut, then refine the shape, carving out the interior. Another woodcarver works on the figures, and sometimes the artisans' wives help with sanding, while their young children play nearby. From the faith and imagination of our artisan partners, these Nativity Huts depict Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus taking shelter in a traditional Rwandan home. A beautiful addition to your Christmas celebration.
