Mixed Five Sheet Lokta Paper Gift Wrap Pack with tags

This gorgeous giftwrap pack comes with 5 sheets of beautiful wrapping paper and matching plain gift tags.  Each sheet of gift wrap is approximately 75 x 50cm in size. All the paper is Fair Trade and handmade in Nepal from Lokta, a plant native to the Himalayas. The paper is acid-free and the vibrant colors are created using only natural dyes. All our giftwrap is handmade by Get Paper Industries (GPI), an incredible, socially aware cooperative in Nepal. The paper is made from the bark of the Lokta or Daphne papyracea plant, that grows in the foothills of the Himalayas. Mountain villagers trek to where the lokta grows, harvest it, then transport it back to the village. It is boiled, cleaned, then beaten with mallets to product the fiber pulp. It is then mixed with water and poured into a shallow floating frame made from bamboo poles stretched with canvas, then sun-dried to produce the crisp long fiber paper.
